Tell someone they are AWESOME and make the world a better place!

phone Tell someone they are AWESOME and make the world a better place!Howdy all!

Lately I have been thinking of easy things everyone can do to make the world a little bit better.  Today I am going to tell you one of the things I have been doing for so long it is truly a habbit at this point.  It is something that you can do literally in less than a minute and I promise if you do it for 30 days straight you will not only make the world a much better place but will put you in a networking category only left to the professionals.

Here we go…..ready??  Pick up the phone and call someone you have not talked to in over a month and just let them know you are thinking of them and wanted to check in.  I do NOT mean email!  I mean a 5 minute phone call!  When you reach out to someone and do not try and sell them anything you are coming from a place of abundance and you will see results.  Here a a few ideas of people to reconnect with.  Your little league coach (yours or your kid’s), the best teacher you ever had, an old flame, your latest client, your veterinarian, your dog walker, Doctor, ex best employee, a lower level employee, you get the point.

I would love for you to leave a comment and let me know of the first couple of people you can think of who deserve to be told how AWESOME they are.  Happy calling!!

p.s. You are AWESOME and I appreciate you!

  1. Great article Casey! And great REMINDER! I’m always preaching “prospecting, prospecting, prospecting” to other agents — but the reality is BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS. Thanks for starting my day with the right idea — as soon as it’s not too early to start making calls…THAT’s exactly what I’m gonna be doing this a.m Hugs!

  2. Great post – great reminder — BUILD those relationships! Thanks Casey.

  3. I agree with you totally on this subject. I am a mammographer by day and can tell you what a difference letting people know how awesome they really are can make in that persons life. Thank you for the reminder!

  4. I grew up in Texas, and have been gone for almost 30 years. A lot has changed in my life over that time. I used to sat “Howdy” to everyone, now I say, “Good Morning”, or other time of day. My family is moving to Houston this summer, and I’m looking forward to the “Howdy”s again. Thanks for reminding me.

  5. I had a friend who used to tell me “You’re a very special person.” nearly every time we visited or had a long phone conversation. He passed away suddenly. His legacy is I try to tell people I appreciate them. Just a short phrase can change the course of a day.
